The role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with experience in VMware to maintain and manage our labs environment. This is not a typical VMware environment, our platform creates and manages infrastructure programmatically and exposes networked VMs as “Labs” to our customers inside our portal.

This is a great opportunity to design and implement interesting tech and be part of a new platform that delivers important value to customers in the Cyber industry.

  • Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Maintaining and managing VMware infrastructure
  • Provide guidance and/or design code that works with the VMware REST API and/or terraform
  • Build and/or maintain monitoring/alerting systems, and proactively monitor these systems
  • Document and mentor other technical staff in VMware virtualization

About you

FifthDomain is at the forefront of creating innovative technology in cyber security training. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ years experience in Infrastructure
  • Proven experience with VMware Hypervisors ( vCenter, ESX, NSX )
  • Orchestration of infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge and experience supporting, troubleshooting and configuring Windows, Linux, VMware and Windows Servers
  • Thrive in a team environment
  • Have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team in a fast-paced and evolving environment
