About FifthDomain

FifthDomain, founded in 2015, is a global cybersecurity workforce management company headquartered in Canberra, Australia. We began as an Australian-based SME providing a sovereign capability to deliver highly tailored and sophisticated cyber operations training. In that time, we came to realize the global need for cyber workforce management solutions, including software-based platforms to facilitate training in a changing threat landscape.

Today, we are a leading vendor in cyber operations workforce management technologies, with clients across Defence, government, and higher education. Our flagship software product, Assessor, combines scenario-based cyber skills assessments with machine learning, in order to produce critical insights into the true ability of your prospective and current cyber operators to hire and operate with confidence.

Matt Wilcox

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Matt Wilcox began his career in a Securities Operations Centre within the Australian Signals Directorate. Matt joined a ‘Big 4’ consultancy where he led the development of cyber security technology and services, servicing the senior echelons across Australia’s intelligence community.

In 2014, Matt was approached to lecture in Cyber Security for the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) at UNSW. Matt would establish and deliver core units for their Masters of Cyber Security program. It was during this time he felt the pain first hand of setting up the learning environments for delivering hands-on cybersecurity training.

This combined experience led to Matt’s founding FifthDomain in 2015. Since then, he has been translating his and other domain expert’s cybersecurity operator experience to helping your organisation make the most of its cyber workforce across the employee lifecycle.
